mission requests » ❝ your truest dedication ❞

Moon Base Missions are over this way! Until we come back to Exsilium, please consider using the short form first. Click on this link for more information!

Small Group Missions
Mission Request form last updated 08/19/13.
These are missions for groups of two to eight characters (though there may be some flexibility on that character limit).
Do you want some unexpected forced bonding time? A group training exercise? Here's the place to get that! By requesting a Small Group Mission, you will be given an opportunity for your group of characters to be sent on a mission by the Initiative. These missions will be small in scale compared to the game-wide missions -- a game-wide mission could change the tide of an entire war; these missions will often be seemingly inconsequential, but could potentially have long-reaching effects.

Perhaps your characters will be sent to the French countryside in 1723 with the instructions to raid a carriage and steal a small wooden box inside of it, or to the Reconstruction-Era United States with the instructions to find a certain man and invite him to a bar with the purpose of getting him so drunk that he passes out, or to simply walk into a library in Egypt and collect several scrolls. But perhaps that small wooden box contains an important treaty that is being transported to be signed. Perhaps that man is, in fact, a US senator who will now be late and miss out on voting on a new law. Perhaps those scrolls were housed in the Library of Alexandria and only days away from being destroyed in the fire.

When assigning missions, we will be taking factors such as the size of the group and the particulars of the kind of mission you, as players, want to see your characters on. The more specific you are, the better we can meet your needs!

Solo Missions
Solo Missions are much the same as Small Group Missions, but are undertaken by a single character. You have the option of writing out a solo log about the mission, or simply handwaving it. These missions can be used for character development purposes and/or as a way to explain your character's absence when you go on a hiatus. Please state exactly what you want your character doing for this mission.

noelleno: (Default)

[personal profile] noelleno 2013-01-26 04:35 am (UTC)(link)

Character(s) involved: Zelos Wilder and Sheena Fujibayashi ([personal profile] holeseeker)
Character skillset:

Sheena is a ninja. She's fast, she's acrobatic, she's strong and she can summon stuff. Best at espionage things, as well as assassinations unless it's someone innocent.

Zelos is a melee fighter and mage. His previous comment kinda linked to his abilities. He can also be pretty sneaky himself even if he doesn't look like it, as well as spy. Like Sheena, he'll kill but he won't kill an innocent person.

Additional Notes: We're pretty open to whatever B)
Edited 2013-02-24 01:26 (UTC)

imperfect: (» give me some credit)

[personal profile] imperfect 2013-03-12 10:36 am (UTC)(link)
Character(s) involved: Edward Elric and Alphonse Elric
Character skillset:

Bros. o/ They're both talented alchemists, which means a) they're huge all-round science nerds and b) they can rearrange matter on demand just by clapping their hands. They also both have extensive martial arts training and standard-issue shounen protagonist levels of ridiculous determination.

Al's other notable traits are being a hollow suit of armour who doesn't need to eat, drink or rest, and actually knowing how to hold a friendly conversation. No, really, he's a good mediator.

Ed's other notable traits are that he has two metal prosthetic limbs, less of a weakness to water or cats, quite a lot of teenage angst and a gun.

Additional Notes: Stealthy in some way (because hilarity) and potentially dangerous (because other stuff) would both be good things!
duplicitoussight: (Trompe-l'œil)

[personal profile] duplicitoussight 2013-04-07 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
Character(s) involved: Kido Tsubomi & Kano Shuuya
Character skillset:
Kido:
+Able to hide her presence and the presence of those nearby from being detected. Also works on objects.
+Able to make tough decisions on the spot and to analyze situations rationally.

Kano:
+Able to change what people around him see. Only works on himself.
+A skilled deceiver who's good at manipulating others.

Both have a decent street fighting skills and have had experience sneaking into places!

Additional Notes: Infiltration & espionage would suit them the best! But we're pretty much open to anything \o/ Both of them are against killing.
boughtabookstore: (Default)

[personal profile] boughtabookstore 2013-04-18 04:54 am (UTC)(link)
Character(s) involved: Roslyn Small ([personal profile] boughtabookstore) and Chloe Frazer ([personal profile] totallytrustworthy)
Character skillset:

Chloe has: Thievery, explosives, weapons expert, best driver in the business (illegal business ok) parkour aaaand con artistry.

Roslyn has: Sharpshooting, investigative skills, too much knowledge about supernatural monsters, and hand to hand combat.

Additional Notes: If it could involve thievery that would be awesome!
debtor: (SPARKLE ★ pumpkin eater)

[personal profile] debtor 2013-04-20 05:59 am (UTC)(link)
Character(s) involved: Allen Walker ([personal profile] debtor), Tyki Mikk ([personal profile] phaseshifts), Arya "Cat" Stark ([personal profile] innominata), Oz Vessalius ([personal profile] velveteened), Lenalee Lee ([profile] heavysteps), Xerxes Break ([personal profile] maddeninghatter)

Character skillset:

• ALLEN WALKER:

Allen is shounen-strong, with a claw that can cut through anything and a magical prehensile cape (gross) that can generate ribbons that act like webbing, and he can blow shit up with energy blasts. Other skills include cheating at poker, being a clown, and mimicking the mannerisms of a Victorian gentleman. His weapon allows him to punch things real hard.

• ARYA STARK:

Arya is good at killing, snooping, killing, stealing, killing, sneaking and making people do shit for her by power of cute. Her weapon is very very good at sticking people with the pointy end. And killing.

• OZ VESSALIUS:

Oz is observant and clever, with a knack for knowing when people are lying. He can be quite skilled at manipulating people to get what he wants out of them while leaving them none the wiser. He's not much of a fighter but does have highly destructive powers to use when the need arises, including but not limited to a giant scythe and razor sharp floating chains. He's really short and he looks like a ten year old, no lie. His weapon is geared towards... ferrying stuff around.

• TYKI MIKK:

Skills include hoboing, smoking, poker-playing, tallnes, and being a serial killer. He has the ability to choose what he can and cannot interact with, which translates into INTANGIBILITY and the ability to walk on water and reject the all the air from a space to create a vacuum. He also has a bunch of flesh-eating butterfly golems living in his body that he can summon on command, like any sane individual.

• LENALEE LEE:

Speed-of-sound fast, can jump stupid high and kick up hurricanes/kick things in half, has a good right hook, knows some field first aid, and her quarterstaff is nice for winding people if you get 'em in the gut.

• XERXES BREAK:

He is good at gathering information and drawing astute conclusions. He will use whatever means at hand, including force and trickery, to interrogate subjects. He is resourceful, and has a knack for popping up unexpectedly behind the scenes. He's fast and strong. His weapon is a sword, geared towards direct assault.

The main ability he needs to hone is TEAMWORK! His weapon is difficult to manage if he's alone.

(They all need to hone teamwork.)

Preferred Location: The Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.
Preferred Time Period: THE 90'S.
Preferred Mission Objective: THEY'RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD. At least Allen, Arya, Oz and Tyki are, initially. The mission objective should probably be something simple and completely straightforward. Like, retrieving an obvious item from somewhere in the park. Whatever it is, they'll fail spectacularly at it.

And then back in Exsilium, Oz's Initiative weapon (THE SENTIENT WAGON) bangs on Break's door until he and Lenalee are sent to the past to go help them out. If that's doable! If not, then Break and Lenalee can come along right off the bat.

Expected Mission Duration: Dunno; they probably won't be gone from Exsilium more than a day or two, but they might be in Florida longer...

obliterating: (The pain and the bitter taste)

[personal profile] obliterating 2013-04-21 03:17 am (UTC)(link)
Character(s) involved: Death Knights! Thassarian, Koltira Deathweaver, Sevilla Brightwing, Thereth
Character skillset: Death Knights are good at killing. It's what they're made for. This mission would definitely be suited for them- it's highly unlikely that they would be able to contract the plague that hit Athens. And even if they did somehow, I'd sure it would only make their own diseases more virulent.

This is basically just a teamwork exercise for the Knights here in Exsilium! Like a company picnic, but for Death Knights!
Preferred Location: On a boat near Athens!
Preferred Time Period: 430BC
Preferred Mission Objective: The scenario we have in mind revolves around the Plague of Athens! The plague arrived at some point through the city's port. Well, the Death Knights are going to go and stop it from ever arriving.

The mission would ideally take place on a ship bound for Athens, where infected passengers and sailors are carrying the plague. The Death Knights will need to cull the ship and make sure it never arrives in Athens. So, probably, kill everyone, light the boat on fire, and come back before they become too crispy.

Doing this would either make Athens win the Peloponnesian War or greatly delay their defeat, resulting in a more unified Greece for a longer time. Possibly making them able to resist the Roman conquerors and separating them from the Roman empire Either that, or just prolonging the "Golden Age" of Ancient Creece and giving us more philosophizers or something. Unsure of the long-term consequences, sorry. ;;
Expected Mission Duration: Just one night.
Additional Notes: Nothing, really!
hostage: (guessing ☣)

[personal profile] hostage 2013-04-23 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
Character(s) involved: Jesse Pinkman, Rin Asano, Vanadi
Character skillset:
Jesse is a guns-and-fists type of thug, but his real strength is his cleverness. He solves problems, whether it's by pulling off a great bluff or by applying his knowledge of engineering and chemistry, which has significantly improved over time. He'll be responsible for identifying the chemicals they need and solving any other logistical problems they run into.

Rin is a more practiced martial artist, trained in the use of blades. She's fast and strong for her size, and also very clever and stubborn. She has a superhuman stealth ability which allows her to go unseen by onlookers, although she's still visible to electronic devices. Rin will use her stealth to locate the chemical supply room and help the group gain access to it.

Vanadi is a trained martial artist, as well. Additionally, his body has been enhanced with technology so he's stronger, faster, more agile, and more durable. He's quite skilled with computers, he's charismatic, and he's knowledgeable in the ways of high society. He's there in case the other two run into trouble, as the muscle or the smooth-talker.
Preferred Location: Ypres, West Flanders, Belgium
Preferred Time Period: April 22, 1915 - First World War
Preferred Mission Objective: To obtain a crate containing 5,730 cylinders of benzyl cyanide, which will be added to the Initiative's chemical inventory. The theft may also shift the outcome of the Battle of Gravenstafel.
Expected Mission Duration: 1 week
Additional Notes: It's a heist! This mission is all about coordination and cooperation.
highfrequency: keywords from THE LIFE-GIVING SWORD: SECRET TEACHINGS FROM THE HOUSE OF THE SHOGUN, Yagyu Munenori (The righteous will succeed)

[personal profile] highfrequency 2013-04-26 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
Character(s) involved: Raiden [personal profile] highfrequency
Character skillset: Raiden is a cyborg ninja who fights with edged weapons. His preferred weapon is his high-frequency blade which is a katana that vibrates so that it can cut through almost anything. It can get superheated through vibrations, too.

As a ninja he is excellent at stealth and infiltration. He is a trained scout as well and very good at recognizing enemy patterns of movement. It's also worth mentioning that, in a worse-case scenario, he is capable of absurd feats of strength. He can judo-flip Mecha Godzilla. No, really...
Preferred Location: A major city under the control of UE
Preferred Time Period: Present
Preferred Mission Objective: General espionage
Expected Mission Duration: Probably only a day!
Additional Notes: Raiden would want to go on a mission like this out of curiosity, and would probably push to get himself sent on such a mission. The stories about a world power run by an AI that drugs its citizens and feeds them war propaganda sounds a lot like home. He'd be willing to share any information he obtained (if any) upon his return. Totally okay with unpleasant fallouts from this if it comes to that! Ideally, if bad things were to happen, other people could be brought in on it if they wanted. Really, though, I am good with whatever. The Initiative can turn him down on this one if they want to.
erewhile: (masters of the universe)

[personal profile] erewhile 2013-04-26 04:32 am (UTC)(link)
Character(s) involved: remy lebeau ([personal profile] solitaire) & kate kane ([personal profile] gevurah)
Character skillset:
REMY
⇀ mutant powers include charging kinetic energy in inanimate objects to create explosives, low-grade hypnotic suggestion and increased agility
⇀ thievery, which extends to breaking and entering, acting like he belongs in places he does not belong in, and other secrecy-leaning skills
⇀ hand-to-hand combat and strategy

KATE
⇀ current weapon is herself/augmented strength and endurance
⇀ basically an acrobat, detective, trained in military hand-to-hand/combat, various martial arts, forensics, basic aid
⇀ stealth/covert ops
Preferred Location: algeria
Preferred Time Period: none!
Preferred Mission Objective: something that preferably suggests kate needs to trust remy but allows for undercover work and with some action since the two are heavy hitters combined.
Expected Mission Duration: nothing longer than a week?
Additional Notes: remy's a thief so maybe being allowed to haul back some things with him.
erewhile: (indeed)

[personal profile] erewhile 2013-05-04 11:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Character(s) involved: bucky barnes ([personal profile] kneecaptain) & kate kane ([personal profile] gevurah)
Character skillset: bucky and kate are both military types, therefore trained in hand-to-hand combat and espionage. i've already written down what kate is capable of in the above comment! bucky and kate are very similar in their skill set and compliment each other. oh, bucky is also excellent with guns and has a roboarm.
Preferred Location: la ville-lumière (aka paris)
Preferred Time Period: it is a mystery
Preferred Mission Objective: we would prefer no assassination. something action oriented but also requiring stealth and A PLAN. (unless bucky gets the opportunity to explode himself.) either taking down something that prevents something bad from happening in the future or a retrieval mission of a sort. I'M SORRY THERE'S ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES WITH THESE TWO...
Expected Mission Duration: a week?
Additional Notes: SOULJAS.

[personal profile] marked_for_death 2013-05-09 05:47 am (UTC)(link)
Character(s) involved: Remy LeBeau and Elza
Character skillset:

Remy:
- His various mutant powers
- Stealth
- His obvious charm
- Fighting capabilities (especially with a staff)
- Strength
- Thieving skills

Elza:
- Stealth + melding with shadows
- Marksmanship
- Poison methods
- Rune magic
- Fighting techniques
- Thieving skills
- Questionable methods for gathering information...

Preferred Location: New Orleans.
Preferred Time Period: As modern day as possible.
Preferred Mission Objective: We'd like a mission that utilizes their skills. So either something revolving around thieving or intelligence gathering would be amazing!
Expected Mission Duration: Three or four days at least, no more than a week, depending on the type of mission. If it's intelligence gathering, it would need to be longer than if it was a theft mission.
Additional Notes: NA
ringwizard: (☾ pleaaaaase)

[personal profile] ringwizard 2013-05-10 01:14 am (UTC)(link)
Character(s) involved: haruto souma ([personal profile] ringwizard)
Character skillset: haruto is a wizard! this means he is:

- competent in hand-to-hand combat
- has a variety of magical spells
- posseses an optional armored form as kamen rider wizard
- smart, though tactless

his weapon is his mana, so a chance to use his magic heavily would be appreciated. he's feeling caged up and he'd like to do some straightforward heroics for once.

Preferred Location: somewhere with an urban backdrop! somewhere without a large japanese population would be ideal.
Preferred Time Period: no preference!
Preferred Mission Objective: i'm hoping for a "help with the defenses in x place" or "steal and deliver supplies to y to help them survive an assault" or something else that seems clear-cut from his perspective. that said i would really, really like for the mission outcome to be neutral at best or downright bad at worst in its time period--he was helping the bad guys, though it served a positive purpose in exsilium, for example, or he kept people alive for a month only for all but one (who went on to do something positive or whatever) to be killed, that kind of thing.
Expected Mission Duration: about a week at location, give or take a few days?
Additional Notes: i'd like to use this mission to set off a downward spiral serving to his overall character arc, but i hope my preferences aren't too limiting--i'm totally happy to play with whatever you're willing to give me!
revolutionized: (pic#1086571)

[personal profile] revolutionized 2013-05-17 08:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Character(s) involved: Utena Tenjou ([personal profile] revolutionized) & Nanami Kiryuu ([personal profile] tragicomedienne)
Character skillset: Utena:
- is proficient in the use of her fancy rapier
- is skilled at most sports, including baseball and basketball, so she is agile and has good hand eye coordination
- is good at fighting the power
- makes a passable and attractive boy when her hair is pulled up in some fancy way to pull off the illusion, and she is crossdressing. it's movie canon idk
- generally honest (to a fault) and brave. she is not a good liar at all.
- more levelheaded than Nanami, but less cunning

Nanami:
- like Utena, she is proficient with the use of a one-handed blade! she used to use two but this was some sort of weird metaphor. this anime.
- she is also quick and agile!
- quick reflexive thinking! nanami is also p. successful at coming up with complicated plots.
- sometimes she is good at sucking up, a skill utena totally lacks
- shrieking
- also, animals hate her

Preferred Location: We'd like New Orleans, Lousiana! Please and thank you.
Preferred Time Period: 1984! Specifically the failed 1984 Lousiana World Expo but if you mods have a better idea, go for it huffhuff.
Preferred Mission Objective: I do not know! But it would be good if it was something involving team building, with a minimum of violence and no murder. Both girls can defend themselves, but they are also quite young and deal badly with darker things.

Having them wander around a creepy semi-abandoned place has a lot of opportunity for creepy things so if that could happen it'd be rad. Oh! And situations where they are given the opportunity to gain some perspective of other people's struggles and the suffering of others. They are both pretty selfish and I think it would help them both. Probably a fetch quest (or several) or a series of things where they have to be helping people. The opportunity for espionage would be hilarious, also.

Expected Mission Duration: omfg can they be there for the entire fair. like the whole thing? they can explore new orleans in the meanwhile and learn about the US of A. and maybe only a few weeks pass in exsilium time or something.
Additional Notes: naw
oncearanger: (questions)

[personal profile] oncearanger 2013-05-21 02:45 am (UTC)(link)
Character(s) involved: Billy Cranston([personal profile] oncearanger), Adam Park ([personal profile] kungfublackfrog), Kaworu Nagisa ([personal profile] salvagedsoul), Shinji Ikari ([personal profile] imusntrunaway), Rei Ayanami ([personal profile] nothing), Asuka Langley Soryu ([personal profile] redheadcarrier)
Character skillset: Mecha pilots, all of them. There are also varying athletic and musical talents among the group.
Preferred Location: Some tech center where the latest in military technology is being developed
Preferred Time Period: 2200s, 2300s, 2400s---whenever giant mecha technology might be being developed in this world.
Preferred Mission Objective: A mission to prevent giant mecha technology from being developed in this world because otherwise people will be crushed.
Expected Mission Duration: Maybe a week?
Additional Notes: We like spandex, creepy mecha mind control, and moral dilemmas, especially if...say, a small town has to die in their plans to destroy the existing mechs, factories, and supplies.
strategic_guile: (Default)

[personal profile] strategic_guile 2013-05-25 06:26 am (UTC)(link)
Eh, this is more of a... retro-active request? As he's been on hiatus for a month and I just wanted a way to explain why he was gone. BUT if you think of another mission to send him on in the future that lasts a few days to a week, I'd love for that to happen!

Character(s) involved: Blaine Thorps
Character skillset: He's excellent with guns and on another front is good with diplomacy. He can be a charming gentleman or a ruthless asshole depending on what's required.
Preferred Location: Anywhere.
Preferred Time Period: Anytime. His body is ready.
Preferred Mission Objective: For the month-long hiatus I figure politics, debate, and cajoling would take longer. Especially if he has to do some verbal arm-twisting to make things work. It'll last a week for him, but when he gets back to Exs a month has gone by. Oops o 3o

For the shorter mission I want for him later, a quick assassination job would be easier. He goes in, does his research, stakes out the place, then kills some CEO, politician, warlord or whoever needs a shot to the head, packs up and comes on back. He wouldn't ask for that himself, but if they asked him it wouldn't take much for him to agree if only for a change of pace.
Expected Mission Duration: For the first mission, as long as he's gone for an IC month it doesn't matter how long the mission seems to him. It can be a day of heavy negotiations and then he comes back from the mission and an entire month goes by.

For his second mission, a few days or a week is good.
Additional Notes: Nope!
commentboxtroll: why is this even here (icons that will never be used ic)

[personal profile] commentboxtroll 2013-06-02 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Character(s) involved: Caesar Silverloser, Jericho, Gamora, and Oz Vessikins.
Character skillset:

- Caesar is good at: uh, he's just the man with the plan, also his spyglass is incredibly useful for spying and surveying.

- Jericho is good at: being a Teen Titan and having super sideburns???

- Gamora is good at: being a super assassin, fighting, killing, driving things (into buildings?!).

- Oz is good at: being blond, summoning crazy chains and a scythe and fighting.

Preferred Location: I tried so hard and got so far but in the end I could not decide. Sorry.
Preferred Time Period: Also could not decide, but I do have a few suggestions: whenever pirates were at their most active (Caribbean or maybe even Chinese pirates), when the Aztecs moved Montezuma's treasure (or when a prospector led a huge search in the spot it was supposedly moved), maybe something involving Fort Knox, or even something made up from the future.
Preferred Mission Objective: Stealing! Preferably a treasure. Less something that the Initiative needs and maybe more something the Initiative has deemed needs to not be found.
Expected Mission Duration: Most likely 1 to 3 days.
Additional Notes: Caesar, who has taken up working on helping with timeline research (from the jobs page), is trying to wrangle a mission that involves grand theft treasure. He may have promised to pay a dragon a boatload of gold to save the spaceship crew, so, yeah, haha, fun times.

[personal profile] substitutable 2013-06-22 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
Character(s) involved: Kano Shuuya ([personal profile] duplicitoussight) and Shintaro Kisaragi ([personal profile] substitutable)
Character skillset:
Kisaragi Shintaro: Shintaro, when he’s able to focus and keep his head clear, is capable of noticing details about his surroundings that can lead to him coming up with strategies to fulfill missions based on the data he gathered beforehand or on the spot. He’s highly intelligent and good at retaining information. No other special abilities or skills. His weapon is more suitable for defense and getaways than for being on the offense. Also for pissing people off with stupid alarm sounds or embarrassing himself with bad playlists?

Kano Shuuya: Kano's a skilled liar who's good at manipulating others. With his ability to change how he appears to others, he's great for infiltrating/distraction as well. His weapon is a prehensile whip, though he isn't very skilled with it in combat. He has some street fighting skills, but aside from that he's a pretty normal teenager.

Preferred Location: Japan, somewhere in the Saga prefecture
Preferred Time Period: modern-day (1990s~2010s)

Preferred Mission Objective: Something non-violent that’ll let them use their brains, like spying. Maybe something involving a break-in/-out!

Expected Mission Duration: A few days up to a week would be good!

Additional Notes: we’ll call this the Saga saga.
speakveryclearly: Kanaya sparkling white, covered in human blood, which she licks off her face. Zahhak shades for extra hardcore. ((BP)) (Ready)

[personal profile] speakveryclearly 2013-06-23 07:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Character(s) involved: Shiki Tohno [personal profile] satsujinki + Kanaya Maryam [profile] speakverycleary
Character skillset: Shiki is the best at killing things! Both people and objects. It is my understanding that he can kill anything, except for the ghosts in Exsilium's apartments. Kanaya is almost as good at killing things (in her case it is more limited to people) and is also really, really fast. She needs to learn to be more sneaky though.
Preferred Location: Paris, France!
Preferred Time Period: 1794? That's a cool year.
Preferred Mission Objective: Sabotaging businesses that would otherwise end up in the pocket of the United Earth somewhere down the line. Probably not by means of killing somebody, for some variety! Killing things is still on the table though. Like courier services. The ideal climax of this mission would be an opportunity for Shiki to kill a train.
Expected Mission Duration: June 28th-July 12th
Additional Notes: Above is how long Kanaya will be absent from Exsilium as this will be a hiatus-covering mission for me! Shiki may not be gone the same amount of time.

Character(s) involved: Alice Liddel ([personal profile] bittertears) + Kanaya Maryam (this journal!)
Character skillset: Both of these ladies are good at killing things and breaking things.
Preferred Location: London, England! Maybe a hospital in London. Maybe even a mental hospital in London.
Preferred Time Period: 1800s, as Alice's native time period!
Preferred Mission Objective: Assassination attempts get old! We'd like to explore something where material destruction is the task at hand. It will be cathartic.
Expected Mission Duration: July 13th-28th!
Additional Notes: Mission duration applies as Exsilium time only for me and not necessarily Jon because hiatus, see above.

Character(s) involved: Kisaragi Momo & Kido Tsubomi
Character skillset:
Momo
Through the use of her ability, Momo's capable of drawing people's attention to herself and away from anything else in the vicinity. She's still learning to control it, but can also potentially use it to draw attention to objects of her choosing. Her weapon's a microphone that amplifies her voice, meant to distract opponents and cause discomfort. Aside from her ability and weapon, however, she's determined enough to keep at whatever she's doing when faced with obstacles.

Kido
Kido is a good leader. She can be calm in a crisis and make tough decisions. She's generally good for boosting the morale of the others and encouraging them, sort of a supporting leader type. Her eye ability allows her to conceal herself and objects/people around her. She's currently focusing on widening her abilities to selectively conceal things better.

Preferred Location: See the next question!
Preferred Time Period: ANCIENT TIMES!!! Pretty much Ye Olden Days, anywhere is fine as long as it's around that time period, but somewhere without any modern conveniences or anything close to it because hey teenagers addicted to their modern world with their Nintendos and computers and iPods and hula hoops need this to happen to them at some point.
Preferred Mission Objective: We're hoping for a mission that forces them to fine-tune their natural abilities and learn to balance each other's powers - since their powers are direct opposites! - instead of all together cancelling each other out. So a mission that requires them to get a specific group or person's attention while hiding them from other people basically. Non-violent, too! Possibly depending on how far back this is they could be messengers of the Gods I guess maybe I should stop typing now.
Expected Mission Duration: Anywhere from one to two weeks is good!
Additional Notes: We just had a great mental image of them realising toilets don't exist and crying on each other and had to roll with it.
heirwithouthope: (Big Pimping | More like a grocer)

[personal profile] heirwithouthope 2013-06-25 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
Character(s) involved: Thorin Oakenshield [personal profile] heirwithouthope and Kang [personal profile] governorkang
Character skillset:

Thorin knows how to craft things out of metal, stone, and precious gems. He can lead, rally an army together, and he knows his way around a sword and an axe. His weapon is geared towards defense and durability. It's basically like a Metapod, hardening the more he uses it until it's hard as diamond. And he is most interested in learning more about modern warfare and how to better defend himself against it.

Kang is good at combat, diplomacy, strategy, and tactics (warfare, the design and construction of siege engines, fortifications, and medieval bridges). His weapon has to do with boosting courage and improving the competency of others, as well as drawing people to work for/with him. Kang could also use more experience with modern weapons, and more practice with his own weapon.

Preferred Location: Possibly somewhere on the Western Front during World War I.
Preferred Time Period: See above!
Preferred Mission Objective: Kang wants more practice with his weapon, and Thorin wants more experience with modern warfare, so we were both thinking of something either related to combat, or at the very least, something that takes them through dangerous waters. It could be a mission to steal supplies, or it could be something a little more violent or related to their mutual skills in leading others (something we are both leaning towards in a significant way), as long as it requires them to have to fight.
Expected Mission Duration: From July 4th to July 12th.
Additional Notes: You're a hamburger.

Character(s) involved: Anne Boleyn & Nash Latkje
Character skillset:
— Nash is an aristocrat turned special forces agent turned spy. He is good at fighting, sneaking around and talking people to death, but knows little about technology more advanced than gunpowder. His weapon turns him into a crazed killing machine so he'll avoid using it if at all possible.
— Anne is an aristocrat, and those are the main skills she currently has on hand (along with needlework, poetry, dance, and music). She can charm or talk her way out of or into most any situation, and she's persistent to a fault and more than willing to lie. Her biggest areas of knowledge involve Lutheran reformation, 16th century European politics/history/art/music that happened during and before, and languages in Latin, French, German, and a little bit of Spanish. Her weapon will eventually evolve in ways involving manipulation but is currently just a poignard, and she doesn't know how to use it.

Preferred Location:
Preferred Time Period:
Preferred Mission Objective: Something involving diplomacy?
Expected Mission Duration: A few weeks? Possibly shorter, but things go wrong and they're stranded for a while.
Additional Notes: Wouldn't mind at least one situation that could involve fighting.
