Small Group Missions
Mission Request form last updated 08/19/13.
These are missions for groups of two to eight characters (though there may be some flexibility on that character limit).
Do you want some unexpected forced bonding time? A group training exercise? Here's the place to get that! By requesting a Small Group Mission, you will be given an opportunity for your group of characters to be sent on a mission by the Initiative. These missions will be small in scale compared to the game-wide missions -- a game-wide mission could change the tide of an entire war; these missions will often be seemingly inconsequential, but could potentially have long-reaching effects.
Perhaps your characters will be sent to the French countryside in 1723 with the instructions to raid a carriage and steal a small wooden box inside of it, or to the Reconstruction-Era United States with the instructions to find a certain man and invite him to a bar with the purpose of getting him so drunk that he passes out, or to simply walk into a library in Egypt and collect several scrolls. But perhaps that small wooden box contains an important treaty that is being transported to be signed. Perhaps that man is, in fact, a US senator who will now be late and miss out on voting on a new law. Perhaps those scrolls were housed in the Library of Alexandria and only days away from being destroyed in the fire.
When assigning missions, we will be taking factors such as the size of the group and the particulars of the kind of mission you, as players, want to see your characters on. The more specific you are, the better we can meet your needs!
Solo Missions
Solo Missions are much the same as Small Group Missions, but are undertaken by a single character. You have the option of writing out a solo log about the mission, or simply handwaving it. These missions can be used for character development purposes and/or as a way to explain your character's absence when you go on a hiatus. Please state exactly what you want your character doing for this mission.

Character skillset: Raiden is a cyborg ninja who fights with edged weapons. His preferred weapon is his high-frequency blade which is a katana that vibrates so that it can cut through almost anything. It can get superheated through vibrations, too.
As a ninja he is excellent at stealth and infiltration. He is a trained scout as well and very good at recognizing enemy patterns of movement. It's also worth mentioning that, in a worse-case scenario, he is capable of absurd feats of strength. He can judo-flip Mecha Godzilla. No, really...
Preferred Location: A major city under the control of UE
Preferred Time Period: Present
Preferred Mission Objective: General espionage
Expected Mission Duration: Probably only a day!
Additional Notes: Raiden would want to go on a mission like this out of curiosity, and would probably push to get himself sent on such a mission. The stories about a world power run by an AI that drugs its citizens and feeds them war propaganda sounds a lot like home. He'd be willing to share any information he obtained (if any) upon his return. Totally okay with unpleasant fallouts from this if it comes to that! Ideally, if bad things were to happen, other people could be brought in on it if they wanted. Really, though, I am good with whatever. The Initiative can turn him down on this one if they want to.

Pretend that makes sense with me, por favor, they just have less access on the city side than they do where the information pushes originate!

After his upgrade he can also brainjack other machines and control them either by wiring himself to a control port or running his sword through an AI core...not sure how that would come up but that's a thing.
Edit: Also worth mentioning, in terms of info he gathers-Raiden is a military cyborg which means he has a data chip embedded in his left arm. Anything he perceives with his senses is recorded on this chip-Everything he sees and hears and smells and touches. He can turn this off sometimes but he will have this functional while on duty out there, in case anything happens. Baaasically, he's a walking, talking Google Glass.
