oh my god i can only think of 3 characters that lose a hand and all of them excite the hell out of me It could be taken care of, but again, it really comes down to player preference, and that goes for both cases! The technology and magic floating around is generally good enough to regrow the hand, or regrow wings, or whatever wound is being considered, but excuses can be made/things can be tweaked if you'd rather play your character with a lasting handicap.
