Unfortunately within Exsilium there aren't much for forms of transportation! It is a more post-apocalyptic urban wasteland -- part of its eerieness, for lack of a better word, is in that it is so far in the future and yet there's not much technology or advancement to be found. However, the United Earth (this has some more UE info) is rich in technology and overwhelmed with a wealth of it -- so you could find remnants of the things from the United Earth within Exsilium, almost as though Exsilium is used as a dumping ground for them! So, perhaps a broken hoverjet of some kind, tubing for mass-travel (think Futurama, lol), tablets and computer parts that are vastly extensive in comparison to what we have now -- hard drives with a few zettabytes of storage, for example.

As for a few answers to your first question but mostly your section question, here's somewhere that I touched on it previously so that might be of assistance!

He would find out about the First Resistance, and how it had failed (not enough people/they were easily taken over and exiled to this land); information tracing back the royal family that the Initiative themselves are descended from -- which is a family web of royalties from all over Europe, inter-marrying until they had just become one rather massive family that ruled over much of Europe until the First Resistance. He could also find information about other systems in Exsilium if he wanted to (like the sewer system lmao & parks n shit). Mostly it is just information about their beginnings, but not a whole lot about what's going on now!
