Original characters from massively multiplayer online games (MMOs) or from tabletop games (D&D and others) that are still your creation but come from a largely established existing world may also be applied for.

I have such a character that I'm willing to apply for--however, they are from the not-yet-released, still-in-beta FFXIV. Would this character still be applicable, given that the storyline the player has played up to in the beta would be the "canon point"?
