Technically no, as in those people may or may not exist, but if they exist, they also won't know your character. It could be interesting to play off the idea that this person should be a lead or know a source, and find it is true, but it'd be like an isolated incident of strange coincidence, since there will be no indication of a person equivalent to themselves around at any time, past or present.
